MapleStory Nostalgia [Poem] - YouTube SorrowfulM // MapleStory Veteran

Even though I wrote it, listening to and reading the lyrics gives me goosebumps. This is one of my favourite videos I made. Cliche Poetry! Lyrics: Maple-Story. 2 words, or is it one? But in reality it doesn't matter, it's a game to be played for fun. 10 years and counting for me, but even more for some. To think it started with a hunting ground, we called it HHG1. To smuggling cakes in the PQ, for that extra speedy run. 4 Original job branches, yet we always found the one. The class we'd play for hours a day, our journey had just begun. Seemingly simple aspects, posed us such a chore, levelling, travelling, & making friends, but we always wanted more. 2nd job was our goal, 3rd job was our dream, 4th job was a myth, and was rarely to be seen. Orbis held the path to all, but amidst the journey was a cabin so small, a place to hide from such a creature, thank you Nexon, for this exhilerating feature. Only the brave would linger outdoors, to scout for the monster that we all feared, eyes peeled glued to the chat, The Crimson Balrog has appeared. A time where the only potentials were ourselves, Unlocked for free and at our own discretion. 15 players against a boss with 8 arms, how it quickly became our undying obsession. To be the best but in a better way, Idols like Tiger & the Fang of Blade, playing drop games both night & day, Friends all around meant you were never a stray. It's times like these that get us thinking, How time like papulatus manages to fly, Embedding the fear of naturally blinking, Because each time you do, a patch goes by. A patch that changes what already seemed perfect, A piece of our childhood that would slowly decay, It was upon us a day that would cause a big impact, A patch so big it would turn us away. It is many years later and to this day, the Players of MapleStory continue to pray, for the game they loved to please come back, And for nexon to make it available on Apple Mac.
